How much money will MSc save my organisation?

Typically companies who smarten their marketing supply chain will achieve 'hard' savings equivalent to 3-5% of their annual media expenditure. This means a company with an annual media budget of 40million could expect to find savings worth 2million per annum. As part of our scoping work we will identify the areas where an organisation can make savings and the potential size of these reductions.

Are MSc independent of the suppliers that they recommend?

MSc are legally and financially independent of all suppliers that we recommend.

We spend a great deal of our time scoping the market for new suppliers that are experts in their field and that provide value for money. Our independence and objectivity allow us to select the most appropriate suppliers for the job. We introduce these to our customers and assist them with the final selection process.

Once selected, MSc support the negotiation process and can help customers draw up contracts and agree working processes so that promised savings are delivered.

How do MSc work and charge?

MSc are legally and financially independent of all suppliers that we recommend.

We generally work on a range of pre-agreed deliverables for a fixed Project Fee. Some of our customers account for our costs from the savings they realise in the first phases of the project.

Our expenses are charged at cost in accordance with the corporate policies of each customer.

Does MSc interact with marketing procurement?

Marketing Procurement specialists are our main clients in nearly 50% of current assignments.

Our marketing expertise allied to in-depth understanding of a wide range of marketing suppliers complements the key commercial and negotiation skills of procurements experts.

We share the objective of measurably reducing unnecessary marketing costs. To achieve this we are sensitive to the need to maintain support and buy-in of brand marketers and the enthusiasm and motivation of key agency partners.

How long does it take to realise the savings that MSc identify?

In our experience a project should take between six and twelve months from the time of identifying the opportunity to delivering a complete solution.

What will be the legacy left behind when MSc have completed their work?

MSc will deliver a smarter marketing supply chain built on improved systems and processes. If required MSC will provide training programmes to embed these new systems and processes into an organisation.

Is MSc a technology supplier?

We often deliver technical solutions on behalf of our customers. However we do not develop our own systems or software nor distribute on behalf of third party suppliers.

This enables us to be 'supplier neutral' and to select the most effective solution for each situation and customer.

Can the systems that MSc recommend be integrated into our existing systems?

In principle and in all instances to date, yes. To make this happen, MSc work closely with IT departments to ensure the solutions they propose will work in harmony with the existing technological infrastructure and policies.

Can't my IT department manage this?

We recommend that IT departments are closely involved in the development of a smart marketing supply chain, ensuring that any new systems conform to company standards and integrate with existing systems.

The marketing supply chain is a specialised area and in-house IT departments are unlikely to have the sector knowledge to identify and brief the most appropriate suppliers.
